"Fighting for Faith"
John Brown knows what it's like to be the parent of a seriously ill child. After watching his baby, Faith, fight an undiagnosed illness, it was the little things that would make the biggest difference to the family of a seriously ill child.
In memory of his daughter Faith, John is completing a marathon Jiu Jitsu session to raise money for the new parents’ room in the redeveloped Geelong Hospital Children's Ward. Funds raised will go to purchasing a TV, DVD player, couch and other items hoped to make other families a little more comfortable when on the ward to support their child.
John will be completing 100 three-minute rounds of Jiu Jitsu continuously from 9am on Sunday 24 October, at the Cherubin Jiu Jitsu Academy , 3 Victoria St South Geelong .
Contact John Brown to make a donation from 1 September. A receipt will be issued by the Barwon Health foundation after the event (donations over $2 tax deductible). You can also choose to donate money for each three-minute round John completes – to give him even more incentive to keep going!
